The I-95 Corridor Coalition worked with the Georgia Department of Transportation and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority to develop and implement the Towing and Recovery Incentive Program (TRIP) in 2008 to pay heavy- duty recovery companies a monetary bonus for clearing commercial vehicle wrecks within 90 minutes. TRIP facilitates quick and safe clearance of commercial vehicle crashes by improving towing procedures, and improves traffic incident management in the region while building a mutually beneficial relationship within the towing community to meet quick clearance goals.
