INTRO TO ultra-heavy

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides tow operators with the knowledge and techniques needed for complex recoveries involving heavy loads. It covers flowchart-based decision-making, weight transfer principles, and angle factors to optimize recovery strategies. Operators will learn block and anchor loading, basket and bridle hitches, and vertical lifting techniques for safe load management.
Additional topics include resistance with tracks, weight calculations, and the load angle multiplier for precise lifting. The course also covers high-lining techniques, setting up a rotator, and using spreader bars for balanced lifting. By the end, operators will be equipped with the skills to handle heavy recoveries safely and efficiently.
